Welcome to the 41st AEAA Annual Conference

The Educational Assessment and Examinations Services (EAES) will host the 41st Association for Education Assessment in Africa (AEAA) annual conference from August 25th to 29th, 2025. The conference will take place at the Skylight Hotel in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. EAES is honored to invite you to participate and present a paper at this important event.

The Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) focuses on ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for everyone. As we approach 25 years into the new millennium, achieving SDG 4 remains a global challenge. Many assessment bodies have not yet included fair assessment methods that address the needs of diverse groups of learners. Also, the teaching profession is still working on adopting and improving teaching approaches that support inclusive learning. These efforts are essential to create the best learning environments that are accessible to all students.

The 41st Association for Educational Assessment in Africa Annual Conference will focus on an array of aspects in educational assessment, with deliberate emphasis on integration of formative and summative assessment; as well as assessment of non-cognitive skills for the 21st Century skills. The theme of the conference therefore aims at eliciting dialogues that promote inclusivity across the entire pyramid of education, ensuring that no learner is left behind.
