Introduction

​ The 41st Annual Conference of the Association for Educational Assessment in Africa (AEAA) is scheduled to take place from August 25 to 29, 2025, at the Ethiopian Skylight Hotel in Addis Ababa. Hosted by the Educational Assessment and Examinations Services (EAES), this conference aims to provide a platform for educators, policymakers, and assessment professionals to engage in meaningful discussions and share best practices in educational assessment across the African continent.

Conference Theme

The theme for this year's conference is "Transforming Educational Assessment: Towards Quality Learning and Informed Decision Making." This theme underscores the importance of evolving assessment practices to foster inclusive, equitable, and quality education, aligning with the objectives of Sustainable Development Goal 4. The conference will focus on integrating formative and summative assessments, as well as evaluating non-cognitive skills essential for the 21st century.
